Community Foundation of Acadiana Helps to Rebuild Louisiana Churches Destroyed by Arson

Three historic Black churches in Louisiana were destroyed by acts of arson this spring, but no act of hatred can match the power of a community determined to heal and rebuild. 

 

The Community Foundation of Acadiana has led rebuilding efforts through the creation of the St. Landry Church Fires Fund. GRoW founder Gregory Annenberg Weingarten has committed to support the fund, which provides assistance to Greater Union Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, and St. Mary Baptist Church.
