School of American Ballet Selects Mira Nadon as First GRoW Fellow

The 15-year-old dancer from Claremont, California (pictured above) is SAB's GRoW fellow for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons. Part of the school's diversity initiative, the fellowship endowment funds scholarships for students of color in Los Angeles County.

In 2015, Nadon became a full-time student at the School of American Ballet (SAB), which is the official school of the New York City Ballet. She was selected as an apprentice by the New York City Ballet and recently danced in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker at the David H. Koch Theater in Manhattan's Lincoln Center. GRoW has been funding annual scholarships at SAB since 2010, and Nadon will serve as the GRoW fellow for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
