Covenant House's National Sleep Out America Event Supports Homeless and Trafficked Youth

The organization that provides shelter to youth in crisis is holding its signature annual fundraiser on November 16.

Every year, thousands of people across the country raise awareness of the homeless youth epidemic by spending one night outdoors as part of Sleep Out America. Tony-winning actress Audra McDonald, who has participated in the event every year since 2014, is inviting everyone to join the cause by sleeping in a backyard, community center, or place of worship. Funds raised during this night of solidarity go directly towards Covenant House's street outreach, residential programs, and community services, which helped more than 80,000 youths in 2017.
