Community Partners

With $250,000 in investments, Community Partners was established in 1992 as a way to work with smaller organizations. Today, Community Partners manages more than $42 million and its financial portfolio includes 170-plus projects and initiatives spearheaded by innovative leaders across Southern California.

Community Partners offers administrative support and structure in three forms: fiscal sponsorship, intermediary work, and knowledge sharing. Through the fiscal sponsorship program, sponsored projects operate under Community Partners' tax-exempt status, allowing project leaders to focus on fulfilling the organization's mission instead of complex administrative processes. Each project leader works closely with a Community Partners staff liaison. Community Partners' intermediary work helps nonprofit organizations, foundations, corporations, and government agencies build complex initiatives, organize events, and establish partnerships. Through its knowledge-sharing network, Community Partners disseminates reports and publications, offers educational workshops, and serves on conference panels.
