Supporting Scientific Investigations of Alzheimer's Disease

L'Association Suisse pour la Recherche sur Alzheimer

L'Association Suisse pour la Reserche sur Alzheimer (APRA) was established in 2009 to support Alzheimer's disease research efforts led by Swiss and global scientists. APRA's work is guided by a belief that scientific innovation and excellence must be rooted in humanism and respect for the rigorous scientific method. It is in this spirit that the organization mobilizes professionals across disciplines to discover new approaches to one of the world's most challenging neurodegenerative diseases.

Further, APRA created and operates the Geneva Memory and Brain Resiliency Center (Centre de la Mémoire et de la Résilience Cérébrale) at the Geneva University Hospitals. The center is one of the world's leading research institutes for Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative diseases. In addition to offering clinical care, research, training, and prevention services in one location, the Geneva Memory and Brain Resiliency Center provides direct support for patients' families and makes recommendations to guide national public health strategy and policy. Through this extensive cutting-edge work, APRA is committed to leading the charge on understanding, diagnosing, and treating this pervasive illness.
