Building Bridges and a Mutual Understanding between the Netherlands and the United States

The Netherland-America Foundation (NAF)

Founded in 1921, the Netherland-America Foundation strengthens the cultural bond between the Netherlands and the United States. The organization oversees a Dutch-American network of 10 chapters in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, New York, the Netherlands, Northern California, Southern California, Washington, D.C., and Michigan.

The foundation's prestigious NAF-Fulbright Fellowships support Dutch scholars pursuing graduate studies in America and vice versa. NAF also administers grants, an internship program, a visa program, and interest-free study loans for Dutch and American students pursuing higher education. The organization has developed the NAF Alumni network by sponsoring social, cultural, and educational events in New York and Amsterdam, and it hosts NAF-Biz networking events that bring together the Dutch and American business worlds. In addition, NAF's Friends Fund program supports Dutch charitable institutions seeking to raise money in the United States.
