Met Opera Kicks Off 2021-22 Season of Saturday Matinee Broadcasts

The longest-running classical music program in American radio history returns this month.

For 90 years, the Metropolitan Opera has brightened weekends — and the airwaves — with its Saturday Matinee Broadcasts. That tradition continues with the debut of the 2021 season, which begins December 4 with Matthew Aucoin's Eurydice and runs through June 11, 2022.

Featuring works from such master composers as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and performed by the world's most celebrated opera companies, the Saturday Matinee Broadcasts can be enjoyed every Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on the Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network. More than 200 different operas have been broadcast over the program's storied run. You can see the full schedule of the broadcasts, as well as a station finder, at MetOpera.org.

GRoW is honored to support the Met Opera and Saturday Matinee Broadcasts.
