June 9: Hispanic Society Museum and Library Hosts In the Heights Exhibition

From June 9 – August 15, 2021, The Hispanic Society Museum and Library is hosting, In the Heights: From College to the Screen. The exhibition will feature over fifty photographic images that track the evolution of Lin's Manuel Miranda's award-winning musical from its first showing in Wesleyan College through the Broadway productions.

The exhibition is timed to open in conjunction with the release of Warner Brothers' major motion picture adaptation of In the Heights on June 10. The photography exhibit is free to the public and one of the featured events for the Annual Art Stroll in Northern Manhattan. The museum has partnered with the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), a non-profit arts service organization that promotes, cultivates, and supports the works of artists and organizations part of northern Manhattan's rich cultural community, to produce this exhibition showcasing Lin Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning masterpiece.
