L.A.-Based Organizations Awarded 'Champions Live Here' Super Bowl Grants

Nine GRoW grantee-partners are among the 56 inspiring changemakers in the greater Los Angeles area that will receive funding, marketing resources, capacity-building training, and public recognition.

It's too early to know who will face off in Los Angeles this winter in pursuit of a Super Bowl trophy, but several teams in Los Angeles have already been crowned champions. GRoW-sponsored organizations Loving Hands Community Care, East Side Riders Bike Club, A New Way of Life Reentry Project, Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles, CASA of Los Angeles, Homeboy Industries, Kedren Health, Sisters of Watts, and Urban Peace Institute (along with 47 other local nonprofits — will be celebrated by the National Football League, the LA84 Foundation, and the Play Equity Fund for their transformative work in underserved communities. These grassroots organizations will receive at least $10,000 in funding and additional resources in the build-up to Super Bowl LVI, which returns to the Los Angeles area on February 13, 2022 for the first time since 1993.
