UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations Continues Critical Work Through Virtual Programming

The Burkle Center supports research and promotes discourse on international relations, United States foreign policy, and global cooperation and conflict issues.

The Burkle Center attracts some of the world's top experts in these fields of study and engages students and faculty through conferences and events, academic courses, and internships and scholarships. As part of this robust programming, the institution sponsors the Daniel Pearl Memorial Lecture Series, named in memory of the Wall Street Journal reporter who dedicated his life to bringing truth, joy, and understanding to the world. Past presenters have included some of the most prominent names in journalism today, and the series' most recent lecture — which took place via video in the pandemic — featured CNN anchor Jake Tapper.
