March 5 through April 11: LA Phil's Power to the People! Festival Celebrates Artists Engaged in Activism

LA Phil's Power to the People! Festival celebrates musicians who use their platform as artists to champion social change, civil rights, and humanitarian causes. Its concerts and affiliated programming will take place at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and other venues across LA's historic city from March 5 through April 11.

The Festival opens with a concert featuring Herbie Hancock and Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil. This performance will be followed by a series that is diverse in its content and programmatic styles, ranging from punk rock's Patti Smith to gospel's Yolanda Adams to political sketches by Luis Valdez's Actos. The Festival opens with a concert featuring Herbie Hancock and Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil.
