Les Talens Lyriques Brings French Baroque to LA Opera

The opera company's Off Grand initiative will present an intimate concert on October 11 by the renowned Paris music ensemble, led by founder and harpsichordist Christophe Rousset.

The performance celebrates French Baroque master François Couperin on the 350th anniversary of his birth. Concerts royauxPièces de violeLeçons de Ténèbres du Mercredi Saint, and Second Livre de pieces de clavecin are among the Couperin compositions to be featured. Part of the LA Opera's Off Grand initiative, which showcases unconventional repertoire in a variety of the city's venues, the concert takes place at Zipper Hall, located on the campus of the Colburn School in downtown Los Angeles.
