Watts Towers Arts Center Presents Creative Souls: African American Artists in Greater Los Angeles

Running through July 8, the exhibition is based on UCLA senior lecturer Paul Von Blum's book that spotlights exceptional Southern California artists whose work has been underrepresented in mainstream institutions.

Creative Souls: African American Artists in Greater Los Angeles features paintings, sculptures, and photographs infused with themes of resistance and anti-racism. Von Blum curated the exhibition with Watts Towers Arts Center director and artist-in-residence Rosie Lee Hooks.
