LA Opera Announces Winners for GRoW @ Annenberg Poster Contest

The second annual poster design competition invited college students in Southern California to submit original artwork themed to the LA Opera's spring production of Verdi's Rigoletto.

The winning entry was featured on the cover of the Rigoletto program and displayed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles, home of the LA Opera. In addition, the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) became the first secondary educational institution in Los Angeles County to have its students participate in the contest. All entrants received tickets to the performance, and winners were invited to attend opening night as well as the post-show cast supper.

The artwork pictured above was created by first-place winner Benjamin Macias. The contest is part of GRoW's ongoing support of LA Opera.
