Pastels de Millet à Redon Unveiled at Musée d'Orsay

Curated from the Paris museum's vast archives and running from March 14 through July 2, this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition will present 95 pastel works by some of the greatest artists of their time, including Edgar Degas, Edouard Manet, Mary Cassatt, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, and Piet Mondrian.

Many of these drawings have never left the dark archival rooms at the museum due to their sensitivity to UV light. After the exhibition, they will be returned to the archives.

The exhibition was initiated by the president of the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie, Christophe Leribault, and curated by Caroline Corbeau-Parsons, Curator of Drawings at Musée d'Orsay. The Pastels De Millet à Redon art book, the first of a new book series focusing on the museum's collection, will be available at the d'Orsay and in bookstores worldwide.
