Since 1956, the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation (CNMF) has functioned as one of the National Park Service's cooperating associations — a nonprofit partner whose mission is to enhance the visitor experience at national parks. CNMF funds and supports cultural, historical, and interactive science, and education programs and activities at the Cabrillo National Monument. The foundation focuses its efforts on three major areas of support: park discovery, youth education, and volunteer support. These operations and programs help to protect and preserve the resources at Cabrillo National Monument for generations to enjoy.
