NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale

Founded in 1958, NSU Art Museum is a premier destination for exhibitions and programs containing visual art from civilizations throughout history. Since 2008, the museum has been part of Nova Southeastern University. Today, the NSU Art Museum is the hub of the South Florida Art Coast and is known for its commitment to the issues that most resonate with the South Florida community. In particular, its permanent collection of more than 7,500 works is recognized for its contemporary collection, which emphasizes women, Latinx and Black artists, and African art. The museum is home to two scholarly research centers designed to complement the permanent collection, the Pearl and Stanley Goodman Latin American Art Study Center and the William J. Glackens Study Center. Beyond its renowned exhibitions and important research centers, the NSU Art Museum hosts an array of events and educational programs designed to welcome diverse audiences to the museum and expose them to the wondrous power of the visual arts.
