Dancing Through Life

L.A. Dance Project

L.A. Dance Project (LADP) is made up of 12 full-time professional dancers who are led by the acclaimed dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied. Among his many far-reaching accomplishments, Millepied is a former Principal Dancer with the New York City Ballet and a filmmaker. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Millepied founded LADP as an interdisciplinary, highly experimental dance collective. Since its founding, the collective has performed over 250 shows and hosted master classes across dozens of countries in some of the world's most famous venues. LADP's repertoire includes both reconstructions of historic choreography and brand-new collaborations with visual artists, musicians, composers, filmmakers, and designers. In addition to these diverse performances, LADP's dance studio in Los Angeles' Arts District hosts classes, community events, a residency program for L.A.-based artists, and a summer dance intensive for community members as well as the studio's most advanced students.
