United Nations Association of the United States of America

The United Nations Association of the United States (UNA-USA) was established in 1943 by a group of American citizens who wanted to usher in an era of peace following World War II. UNA-USA was centrally involved in the creation of the UN Charter and its Congressional ratification in 1945. Boasting more than 20,000 globally engaged members spanning 200 chapters across the nation, the organization champions the principles of the UN and advances efforts to meet the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. A program of the United Nations Foundation, UNA-USA champions support for refugees, human rights, and climate action, promotes productive U.S. leadership at the UN, and works tirelessly to meet the goals in the UN Charter.
