Founded in 1985, LACHSA annually serves more than 600 teenagers from across Los Angeles County who are pursuing a superior high school arts education. Students are required to audition for admission to one of the school's five academic disciplines: dance, music, cinematic arts, visual arts, and theatre. Through this partnership between the County of Los Angeles and California State University, Los Angeles, students have access to innovative programs that prepare them for success in the next phase of their academic and/or artistic careers.
