Since 1852, the Victoria and Albert Museum has undergone major transformations, evolving from a Museum of Manufactures to the world's leading art and design museum. Today, the V&A is host to more than 5,000 years-worth of human artistic expression, spanning across centuries, continents, and mediums. Not only does the museum house extraordinary artistic creations, but the very buildings that make up the V&A are some of Britain's most famous and acclaimed architectural feats. In addition to permanently housing 2.3 million objects, these walls have displayed countless innovative and multidisciplinary exhibitions over the last 170 years.
